CardsIQ Shipping Policy

This Shipping Policy explains how CardsIQ manages shipments for Marketplace Sales and Value-Guaranteed Transactions. Following these rules helps ensure safe delivery, verification, and payout.

1. Marketplace vs. Value-Guaranteed Shipments

Marketplace Sales: When you sell directly to CardsIQ through the marketplace, you must generate a prepaid shipping label through the platform. This links tracking, verification, insurance eligibility, and payment to your order. The offer amount locks at generation and remains fixed for that submission. Your shipment must receive the first carrier scan within 3 days of label creation or the order may be automatically cancelled and the offer may expire or be re-evaluated based on then-current market value. Marketplace provides downside protection only during transit; there is no upside adjustment after acceptance.

Value-Guaranteed Transactions (VGTD): Cards from verified partner repacks that are covered by the CardsIQ Value Guarantee are considered secured in-network and do not require user shipping. Verification and pricing are handled within the partner network and by CardsIQ. If a card covered by VGTD leaves the partner network (for example, when the end user takes possession outside of the partner environment), the Value Guarantee no longer applies. Any later sale of that card to CardsIQ is treated as a Marketplace Sale and follows Marketplace shipping rules.

Shipping Instructions (Marketplace Sales):

  • Dispatch shipments within 7 business days of accepting an offer, ensuring the first carrier scan occurs within 3 days of label creation.
  • Ship only to the address generated during label creation.

See the Shipping Policy and Terms of Use for definitions and timelines.

2. CardsIQ Label Requirement

All Marketplace shipments must use a CardsIQ-generated label unless CardsIQ gives written approval to use a different carrier label. Value-Guaranteed Transactions do not require user shipping; if a card is no longer secured in the partner network and you wish to sell it to CardsIQ, it must be processed as a Marketplace Sale using a CardsIQ label.

Using a non-CardsIQ label for Marketplace shipments without approval places all shipping risk on the user. CardsIQ is not responsible for lost, damaged, delayed, or misrouted shipments when a non-CardsIQ label is used, and claims through CardsIQ’s insurance partner will not be facilitated.

For Marketplace Sales, the package must receive its first carrier scan within 3 days of label creation. If this does not occur, the order may be automatically cancelled and the offer may expire or be re-evaluated.

3. Pre-Shipment Photos and Claim Eligibility

Before you ship a Marketplace order, you must take clear photos of each slab front and back and email them to claims@cardsiq.io. Your email must include your CardsIQ order ID and sufficiently clear images to identify each card. Photos must be emailed before the first carrier scan.

If pre-shipment photos are not emailed to claims@cardsiq.io prior to the first carrier scan, you forfeit eligibility for shipping-related claims, and CardsIQ is not liable for shipping mishaps, including broken slabs, lost or misrouted packages, or other damage occurring in transit.

4. Packaging Standards

Only graded cards (PSA, BGS, SGC) are accepted. Raw or ungraded cards will not be processed.

Use a rigid padded box. Separate slabs with bubble wrap or foam to prevent abrasion or fractures.

Improper packing can delay verification or affect payout eligibility.

Insurance and Tracking:

  • CardsIQ labels include tracking and may include insurance as stated at purchase.
  • If you use a non-CardsIQ label without approval, you are fully responsible for tracking and insurance.

5. Verification, Order Changes, and Payouts

All orders are subject to intake and verification. CardsIQ may modify orders that fail verification in whole or in part.

Examples of differences that trigger recalculation:

  • Same card, different certification number.
  • Different card, same grade.
  • Grade or slab data does not match the submitted details.
  • Counterfeit, altered, damaged, or cracked slab.

See the Payout Policy and Terms of Use for timing, adjustments, and partial payouts.

6. Partial Acceptance and Correct Items

Whatever is verified as correct will be paid according to the verified offer and the applicable rules for the transaction type. Items that do not match will be recalculated or rejected. If rejected, you may request return shipping from within your order.

7. Insurance Claims and Risk Allocation

If you follow all steps exactly as outlined, including using a CardsIQ label for Marketplace Sales and emailing clear pre-shipment photos to claims@cardsiq.io before the first carrier scan, CardsIQ will connect you with our insurance partner for loss or damage claims in transit. The insurance company handles all determinations and payouts.

CardsIQ is not responsible for claim timelines, determinations, or delays and does not guarantee reimbursement. If you ship on a non-CardsIQ label without written approval, or fail to email required pre-shipment photos before the first carrier scan, CardsIQ will not facilitate insurance claims and is not liable for loss, damage, or other shipping-related issues.

8. Status Updates and Delivery Windows

Your portal shows statuses such as In Transit, Received, Verifying, and Completed. Delivery timelines depend on carrier performance and intake volumes. CardsIQ is not responsible for carrier delays, but we will process verification and payouts as promptly as possible once cards are received.

9. Return Shipping

If an item is rejected or adjusted after verification, you may request return shipping from your order portal. Return shipments include standard tracking and insurance when applicable. If misrepresentation is found, you may be responsible for return costs.

10. Prohibited and Non-Processable Items

  • Raw or ungraded cards.
  • Cards reported as stolen or with tampered certification.
  • Items that breach third-party IP or violate applicable law.

12. Offer Locks and Protection (Summary)

  • Offer amount locks at generation for that submission and remains fixed once accepted.
  • First carrier scan must occur within 3 days of label creation or the order may be cancelled and the offer may expire or be updated.
  • Downside protection only during transit. No upside adjustment after acceptance.

Value-Guaranteed Transactions (VGTD)
  • Applies only to eligible cards secured within the CardsIQ partner network through verified repacks.
  • No user shipping is required while the card remains in-network; verification and pricing are handled within the partner environment.
  • While in-network and eligible, payouts follow the product-specific Value Guarantee rules (including guaranteed floors and, where disclosed, upward adjustments based on verified market data).
  • Once a card leaves the partner network, the Value Guarantee no longer applies. Any later sale to CardsIQ is treated as a Marketplace Sale under the rules above.
